First Visit What can I Expect? By consulting our office, you’re taking an exciting first step toward better health. So the first thing we offer is hope. You’ll receive plenty of that here!

When you first step into our office, you will meet our friendly staff. You will be asked to complete a thorough health history form. If you have any problems or questions, our staff will be happy to assist you in completing the forms.

Next, the doctor will meet with you in the exam room. Dr. Nadler will listen to you and ask you questions about your complaints, your health history, and how your condition affects your daily activities. He will then conduct a thorough orthopedic examination, which includes, blood pressure and pulse, how far you can turn and bend (range of motion tests), testing nerve reflexes, and specific tests for possible disc and nerve pathology. Also, he will study your posture and perform a Deerfield test (check leg length or short leg test).

After the examination is completed, he may recommend x-rays to further evaluate your spine. And for your convenience, we can take the x-rays in our office. This will provide Dr. Nadler with valuable information so he may properly diagnose the cause of your condition.

After the evaluation, the doctor will treat you on the first visit. Dr. Nadler’s practice philosophy is to relieve your pain as quickly as possible. After developing your personalized treatment regimen, Dr. Nadler will carefully explain your condition and will make recommendations for treatment and correction of your complaints. Also, he will give you choices of treatment parameters. Remember, you will be in control of your health and recovery.
